My Polish Renaissance Army
Several years ago I had several lots of a 28mm Polish Renaissance army painted by Fernando Miniatures in Si Lanka. The figures are Old Glory (exceptions are noted), and I paid for the highest painting level ($3-$3.50 per foot figure). I have based them up for WECW and will use an unofficial WECW supplement available on the web (see XXX). The target era is 1625 – 1660, I guess the difference would be the changing of the Haiduk dress style to a more polish style along with the ‘German’ troops going ‘Polish’.
Overall, this is one the nicer Old Glory ranges with nice variety and sculpting. The only exception is the winged hussars which are awful. That is why I use Redoubt Winged Hussars. However, I find the size of the Redoubt figures and the lack of variety of dress to be detriment and will replace these with TAG Winged Hussars in the future. I also plan on sprinkling in some TAG foot here and there.
