La Bataille ‘LAB’ Series

Les Batailles dans L’Age L’Emperuer Napoleon Premier (aka the ‘La Bataille’ series or ‘LAB’)

  • La Bataille de la Moscowa (ME*, GDW)-
One of the all time classic board wargames. Unpunched copies available on the internet for around $65.
  • La Bataille D’Auerstadt (ME, COA)-
Out of print.
  • La Bataille de Preussisch-Eylau (ME, COA)- errata
Good Balance, a real blood bath…
  • La Bataille de Espagnol-Talavera (ME, COA)- web site
Poorly designed scenarios, with ‘fight a battle go to the next’ design…
  • La Bataille D’Albuera-Espagnol (COA)- web site
If the weather turns ugly, things get interesting…
Big game, much more interesting with all the variants above
Ed Wimble doesn’t want to reprint this title, since its unbalanced. Lots of good scenarios, and lots of potential. How about it Ed?
Haven’t played it yet…
  • La Bataille de Mont St. Jean (COA)- web site, Allied officer and unit lists (part 1 and part 2) for Ligny, Mont St.Jean and Wavre
Beautiful…
  • La Bataille des Quatre Bras and La Bataille des Quatre Bras (2nd) (COA)- web site
Very good game, the initial ‘Ney hestitates’ rules are a bit clunky…
A real slugfest, blood bath, etc.
Haven’t cracked this yet…
Contains 5th edition rules!
  • La Bataille d’Orthez (COA)- web site
Contains 5.1 edition rules!
I didn’t like the Gamers system to begin with so I haven’t tried these. To get a print out of the postscript files you can get a program to print postscript files.
*= Martial Enterprises as opposed to Marshal Enterprises (ME)

Good Lab Info here! – Jeff Sims Web site on the LAB rules
